« Reply #2 on: May 17th, 2003, 1:56pm By: TJ » At the Official Site heard the new one'll be out this fall-time (2003) BUT now I've heard that the band is now way behind with the album is not set to release it till fall-time of (2004) Patience is the key word here, damn! We just have to let R+ go over their riffs and combos so that WE THE FANS R HAPPY WITH SUPPOSEDLY THE NEW SOUND! Hope it's alles klar!

If you guys want to see the new video 'Amerika, Amerika' : check out 'Herzeleid.com' Cool video with the guys as astronauts ;D The end is very funny, when the camera zooms into a picture of the guys and you hear someone saying 'Houston we have a problem' ;D

For about 7 months there was nothing then came lichtspielhaus then not long after came this and now.............this lol. sorry Corkman and TJ but : I got it , I got it Phoned the guy from the cd-store yesterdaymorning to make sure he would save me a copy (a benefit when you work in a library is that you can manipulate your suppliers ;D) Listened for the first time while making dinner yesteday-evening. First impressions : 'Reise Reise' is a song that starts soft, but increases in power (reminds me a bit of Spearhead-song). Great refrain. Not my fav song 2nd is 'Mein Teil', my favourite on this album. The raw R+ sound I love so much! 'Dalai Lama' is a song with great hit-potential IMHO. Great lyrics, geat guitars! Till's deep voice mixes with a light refrain (Richards's voice?). I love it! It's song that feels ominous, just like I like it 'Keine Lust' is a more agressive song and I think the lyrics are hilarious. The next one 'Los' is a very simply song (musically) but it really catches me. Here the poet Till comes to us. 'Amerika' we all heard by know. At first the refrain disturbed me a bit, but now I realize that ist simplicity refers to, well, sorry to all citizens of the USA, the simplicity of many US-people. 'Moskau' is a surprising song with parts of it sung by a very clear, high female voice in Russian and damn it sure fits with Till's voice. And there's also an oboe used in this song and it sounds great! In 'Morgenstern' again raw guitars, raw lyrics and a bombastic refrain. But it works! 'Stein um Stein' tells a horrific story of a lover who wants to own the one he loves entirely. While reading these lyrics the memory of the movie 'Boxing Helena' came to me. I guess that says it all. 'Ohne dich' is a very tender song, a love song that touched me immediately. Till's voice almost sounds breakable. In every other song these words may sound meaningless and unoriginal. But just listen to this song and the beautiful mandolins in it and dare to feel moved by it. 'Amour' is the last one, and personally I think it's the weakest song of the whole album (so not the best choice to end it). But in general : I like it! But I think most people will have to listen a few times to it. Personally I'm more a R+ purist and I love their harsh, raw songs with the rough guitars the most. My all time favourite will always be 'Herzeleid' although I like the other cd's a lot. But I understand that the guys want to develop and want to explore other horizons. And I really love their use of choirs and original instruments like oboes, accordeons and mandolins. Till, Paul, Richard, Flake, Olli and Christoph : you did great job and I love you guys
