My son got two more medals added to his collection this past April...The tourney in Prince Albert was ;D Testing for his B.Belt same day Tombraider will be here. Tombraider you'll be with us at his big presentation night ;D Then right after that PARTYYYYYYyyyyyy @ Ironman's  supposedly it's changed from July long weekend as I've been told  Hoping you're not too pooped out with jetlag but all in all...you'll get to see my son's huge day  |

Ooops lol sorry for the delayed reply .... Thanks Well, my oldest son has graduated to a black belt since June 2006 and had his first tourney a few weeks ago. Actually, the club put on a fundraiser to go to Africa in 2008 and compete and also to bring Russian & Swedish teams here in the future. Our city mayor is known for boxing all over the world btw....He setup the boxing ring at this TK1, Puerto Rico VS Canada event on Nov 3, 2006 in the city. It was one of the coolest events I've been too in a long-time. It was like the shows we see on TV about Martial Arts events, etc. Anyhow, my son was in Bout 2...(Note: he only had one day training in boxing due to the fleu...and the other kid had 6wks of training) my son ended up with a bloody nose in the ring but took it like a man  ... It was funny cos' the room was so silent full of 400 people in tuxedo's/etc and here's TJ hollering out "Put your head up" .... well dammit first-time wearing his new $100 uniform and getting blood all over it cos' he had his head down  .... Yep mom's will be mom's ... In the video, you can see this and a loud mother in the crowd "ME lol" hollering "Put your head up" The trophy for this bout' is super CoOL...Etched glass....They did a really cool demonstration to the song Mortal Kombat. Oh & my son came out like a true boxer with a spotlight on him to the song by AC/DC - Thunderstruck ...... The Puerto Ricans fight like madmen btw lol that was really amazing seeing an all out fight session in a boxing ring (combination of boxing/Taekwondo) .... The Puerto Ricans were guests for this event. The next day was the Tournament .... Wow, those Puerto Rican competitors pulled out all the stops....Fought rank lol....Was a good fundraiser. Gonna be awesome to see Africa in 2008 ;D The medal he recieved at the tourney was a lot heavier than usual and really CoOL looking compared to the normal medals he's won. Btw, my other son's will be joining Taekwondo first week of the New Year |

Tourney coming up end of April and celebrating one of my son's birthdays that weekend...Not sure as of yet if they'll all be in the tournament or not but I'll post it when we find out...It'll be the two youngest son's 1st Tourney's so good luck to my boys ;D Update: No, they didn't participate in April cos' the Instructors think they're not ready -- April 2008 will be their 1st Tourney. ;D |
