Slash's snakepit was awesome! No idea why they stopped making music!! Did A Little Research & Here's Some Findings...Snakepit gave its last performance in July 2001. The band went home for some rest before recording the next album. The rest time was getting long, so Snakepit (minus SLASH) got together to write some songs. Sadly, SLASH announced publicly that Snakepit was no more. SLASH was breaking up the band in order to do some solo projects of his own. He said that he had been through all that excitement of touring and arranging gigs when he was starting out. He was glad the guys had a good time, but he was not interested in repeating what they had done. So, Snakepit band members disappeared to other bands.
SLASH then decided he would do a solo project involving music from different countries. He would use guest musicians, but he would write all the music. At the same time, he started jamming with Duff and Matt. Soon, this project went from "not a high priority" to the three ex-Gunners' sole focus. Izzy was in and out, and The Project (this site gave it this temporary name) had music and some lyrics for 40 songs. Izzy decided he did not want to tour although he might jump in and out of a tour, and the guys picked up the guitarist from Duff's Loaded band, Dave Kushner. In early 2003, The Project auditioned vocalists. After throwing the job open to experienced and unknown singers, Scott Weiland, ex-Stone Temple Pilots was selected. The band called themselves Velvet Revolver and played their debut gig in the summer of 2003 at the El Rey theater in L.A. The band did some soundtrack work, found a label (RCA) and at this time, the fall of 2003, the band is doing preproduction on the album with a possible February 2004 release date. When it is released (on the RCA label), the band will tour in support of the album. Check Out The U.F.O. Thread For Some News Of Slash

:'(g n r make me cry because they were horrible untalented and that guys voice was a mess and he still is.I know they were loved by millions and going to be the next Aerosmith(don't make me laugh)they couldn't go to the bathroom with out arguing about it any....... Slash's snakepit not the best band in the world but he had the singer from JellyFish one of my fav pop rock bands who should have been huge..........never really liked the work of snakepit thought I would without the axel bloke but it never happend and Jellyfish split up because of it....seems to me they all have a lot of problems as they can't keep a band together for more then a year or so........... :osorry but They make my skin crawl.......... :-Xmore words to add to the war........sorry TJ/Corkman I know your fans so shoot me lol

[glow=HotPink,2,300]Well on this note lol I am still a fan of the Original G n' R, Axl's voice on MTV wasn't good because he couldn't hear himself sing! Beside's that he could give a kick ass show with his voice in the G n' R days. I don't think he's any good singing now because once you've racked your voice for tours, days to month's to year's singing like he does it pretty much worsens! I didn't like Slash's Snakepit very much, but wasn't that bad! I'm not sure what the new music is going to sound like from the new band? The lead singer is a heroin addict just like Duff and it was all over the news two months ago lol what a good combination for the new band hey? I think Slash won't go to far with that. The original G n' R broke up because Axl had a drug and alcohol problem and he would fight with people in the crowd and cancel shows on short notice or just not show up at all! He was really messed up and him and the rest of the band didn't get along then, so who's to say what they'd be like together again now, because Axl no longer has problems with drugs and such things.[/glow]
