Who Is This Lead Singer Here? And Why Did Bruce Dickenson Leave In The 1st Place & What Made Him Return? That's Blaze Bayley, he joined Maiden after Bruce left in 1993. Bruce left for more or less the same reasons that Rob left Priest. But then he came back in 1999 and Blaze obviously left....

This picture was taken in 1981, The singer is Paul Di'Anno, Bruce replaced him when he left later that year. So basically, when that picture was taken, Bruce was still singing in Samson.

INFO/HIDDEN EASTER EGG's On DVD Iron Maiden: Rock In Rio Columbia Music Video’s release of 'Iron Maiden: Rock In Rio' is filled with Easter Eggs that you can discover. Here’s how to find them.
Insert the second disc of the 2-disc set and from the 'Special Features' page, highlight 'Photo Diary.' Now, press the 'Left' button on your remote control. This will highlight a small Eddie face on the bottom left-hand side of the screen. Hit 'Enter,' and you will get a short discussion by Kevin (Caveman) Shirley about the studio mixing console the band uses.
Back on the 'Special Features' main menu, select 'The Band.' Once here, highlight Bruce Dickinson's name and hit the 'Up' arrow on your remote control. A small Eddie head will appear. Hit 'Enter,' and you will be treated to an outstanding hand-shadow puppet show put on by a road crew member.
Next up, select 'The Band' once again and then select Dave Murray's name. In the following screen, highlight 'Days Off' and then hit the 'Up' arrow key on your remote control. Another Eddie-icon will show up giving you access to a short clip of Dave and Ross Halfin, the official band photographer, talking.
Let’s go back to 'The Band' menu screen. Select Bruce Dickinson and on the screen that follows, highlight the 'Special Features' menu entry. Then, press the 'Down' arrow key on your remote control to highlight another Eddie-icon, which grants you access to a clip of Bruce talking about his new house.
Now it is time to visit Steve Harris’ menu page from 'The Band' menu. Highlight his 'Days Off' menu entry and then press the 'Left' arrow key on your remote control. A small Eddie head will appear, and if you press 'Enter' it will take you to a short clip of the band on a tennis court.
The final Easter Egg can also be accessed from 'The Band' menu. Select Janick Gers and then highlight his 'Days Off' menu entry. Press 'Up' arrow key on your remote control to reveal yet another Eddie icon, which allows you to view a clip of the band at a playground on a see-saw.

I dont know if this will interest anyone, but my sources tell me that Maiden are starting another world tour next year and it will start in Paris, France on the 25th June. Now if my sources are accurate, i should be heading to France for a few days to see the show. ;D Oh and Corkman, i also think Maiden might be going to Australia this time round.

Thought I'd share this with Maiden fans
Got this in an email from my buddy Jorge Jaegermeister ;D Holy shit, Regina will never be the same seeing this sucker flying into the airport BUT hey we had the Rolling Stones arriving in style! That was fricken CoOL...BUT...seeing this one 1st hand would be Rockers Take Control For Maiden FlightMatt Smith, entertainment correspondent On board Ed Force One Updated:10:48, Friday February 01, 2008 Iron Maiden have become the first rock band to use a single aeroplane to take them, their crew & equipment on tour - with their lead singer as the pilot.
Ed Force One
"Welcome on board. We'll all be living together on this bus for a while. And maybe we'll share the driving." We are sitting on the tarmac at a VIP section of London's Stansted airport in a very special Boeing 757 - and standing in front of us is our captain is using the intercom to say hello. His name is Bruce. Dressed in a white pilot's shirt with yellow shoulder stripes, a black clip-on tie and a security pass around his neck, he looks like every pilot you have ever seen. He also speaks in that way that pilots do, calm and measured, like they are talking to air traffic control.
Except he is standing on his own plane, addressing an aircraft full of familiar faces: his wife, bandmates and road crew. They are all sitting in front of him, ready to be flown to Mumbai in India for the first show on a 45-date world tour. You see, Captain Bruce Dickinson has another job. By night, he is frontman of British heavy metallers Iron Maiden. Now a fully-trained commercial pilot, with charter firm Astraeus, he has helped hatch a plan to take his band on the road in a single plane.
"I came up with a crazy idea: just imagine all the gear, all the crew and the band, everybody all on the same aeroplane," he explains.
This is your captain speaking...
The aircraft (flight number: 666) is pretty easy to spot. It has "Iron Maiden" painted on the side and their skeleton mascot Eddie on the tailfin. Fans have dubbed the plane "Ed Force One". However, that is where the rock'n'roll stops. There is a proper crew and no sign of bad behaviour or irresponsible high jinks - just a bit more laughter than you would get on a normal flight. For one, the band's crew are much happier that this is not a commercial flight with no "punters or crying babies". Shortly before we get into Mumbai airport, band manager Rod Smallwood explains why he likes the single plane idea.
A distinctive livery
"It is pretty complex to do this. You've got 12 tons of equipment, you've got 60-70 crew and you've got the band and their families. But with this plane, we can move quickly," he says. "On one leg of the tour we're doing four major stadium shows in four different countries in one week. You just couldn't do that the normal way." And after a textbook landing in India, Bruce unclips his pilot's tie. Now he's heading for the hotel to prepare to play to 30,000 people with his band. From calm pilot to heavy metal frontman. "It's a bit like being Jeckyl and Hyde," he laughs.
:: Tomorrow, Matt Smith reports exclusively from backstage as Iron Maiden play Mumbai and finds out why heavy metal is big news in India.
