Actually, it's already been shipped. I'm cool with good movies... but most of the shit on TV is so ridiculously inane right now, it's a waste of your fucking life. And don't get me started on advertising... I got sick and tired of being manipulated.
I think Zach says it all:
"to advertise some hip disguise view the world from american eyes the poor adore, keep fiendin' for more the thin line between entertainment and war fix the need, develop the taste buy their products or get laid to waste coca-cola is back in the veins of saigon and rambo too, he got a dope pair of nikes on godzilla, pure mothafuckin' filler- keep your eyes off the real killer cinema, simulated life, ill drama fourth reich culture- americana chained to the dream they got you searchin for the thin line between entertainment and war"

Anyhow, our T.V. is usually set to kids channels all day and in the evening I only watch funny sitcoms such as "Everybody Loves Raymond" and we watch alot of Forensic Science progs and Real life murder shows. For the most part you'd think we're just plain morbid but we like the simpler shows on Discovery and TLC! Thanks for replying as to what you really meant. Btw, I don't even know where Mississippi is ! Where are you now? New Jersey like most of the other members in here? I've only been to Montana (Natl.Glacier Pk), Idaho, Washington. We drove through most of it on the I-90 and want to travel more into the States someday. Some net friends of mine are moving from Edmonton to California. Ever been their? Is it really commercialised like I've been told? Ttyl....TJ

OK, me... I've been to about 40 of the 50 states in the US, some for business and some just for the hell of it. I was born in New Jersey, but lived in Hawaii soon thereafter until I was about 10... 4 years in Texas, back to Hawaii, graduated high school, went to Seattle (went to BC a few times while there) and then was sent, rather indirectly to Illinois just over 2 years ago. I'm across the river from Saint Louis. Mississippi is directly south, and I'm going all the way to Biloxi (on the coast), about 600 miles. I'll be living about 90 miles from the western tip of the Florida panhandle, and the same distance east of New Orleans. Does that help? I've only been thru Cali a few times... the only part where I'd like to live is the northern end of the state. The rest is too damn crowded and, yes, commercialized. I've been through L.A. twice and stopped once to get gas. That was it, unless you count the time when I was 10 and my dad took us to Disneyland. San Fran is a bit more tolerable, but still expensive as hell.

It was on the Godzilla soundtrack, but I paid an extra 10 bucks for the Aussie version of Battle of L.A. (which has No Shelter as a bonus track) just to avoid spending any money on that useless atrocity of a movie.

I have to admit, I watch it often myself (in Belgium 'The Bachelor III' with that Firestone-guy is on TV). It's more or less addictive, you really want to know how it will end. But at the same time I think, 'are those people serious?' Those women can be such bitches, and that Firestone-guy is really not my type. What I'm really would like to know is what happened with the couples from the Bachelor I and II and the Bachelorette. Are they still together? How can you fall in love in circumstances like that? If I was a guy I would be afraid to kiss a girl like that because her make-up would be ruined ;D

I read somewhere that there is a new American reality-show called 'Be my baby' or something like that. It's about adoption. A 16-year old girl who'd just given birth to a baby-daughter can choose out of 4 couples who can adopt it Isn't that just sick?

Reality shows are getting ridiculous.
It will eventually come down to something like The Running Man or from the Doctor Who story, Vengeance on Varos...
