« Reply #1 on: May 26th, 2003, 07:47am By: TJ » LEXX BACKGROUND: The Lexx is a living spaceship genetically designed for the use of HIS SHADOW, ruler of the League of Twenty Thousand Planets.
The series features some of the most ambitious computer animation in the history of television. MAIN CHARACTER'S: ZEV is an unco-operative bride, who is sentenced to become a love slave! Unfortunately during her transformation she becomes a hybrid of a cluster lizard, making her an angry lady! She loves Kai.XEV is Zev. Reborn from potato protein, (Thanks to Lyeeka & the descriptions by 790 & Stan). Apart from the Cluster Lizard, they obviously got it wrong! KAI is the last of the Brunnen-G (a proud race)! He's a programmed killer for HIS SHADOW. He's handsome, intelligent, but (has been dead) for two thousand years ! STANLEY TWEEDLE is a security guard mark 4, (A nerd with a nose for trouble)! He is the Captain of the Lexx. 790is a robot, who along with Zev got mixed up in her transformation! He received part of the love slave memory & thus loves Zev! He constantly recites poetry for her & his main ambition is to make love to her, which is difficult because he has no body!OTHER CHARACTER'S WIST the lady with the bellyfull of worms! Bog's girlfriend, (Most beautiful woman) in the 2 Universes. She can grow to quite a large size. POET MAN
Holographic survivor on the dead planet of Brunis. He is on the lookout for some women to impregnate. Poor Stan is his victim. THODINArch Heritic & pirate, liberator of prisoners along with his mechanical friend bugbomb & influencer of the minds of believers. He is very modest about destroying 213 of His Shadows vessels.GIGGEROTA Cannibal, (Eater of Men, Women & Children) freed by Thodin. She is always on the lookout for fresh meat. Stowaway on the Lexx! BOG is the King of Pattern. As the song goes, "Pattern is the Key Thing, ding a ling, but who is the King of Pattern"? Bog is Wist's boyfriend. He has problems with his "P's". HIS SHADOW is the ruler of the league of 20,000 planets (Who originated from a larva) at the time of the insect wars against the humans. He takes human form and was killed by Kai..... or was he? ? ? LYEKKAis a plant who originated in one of Stans dreams! She needs protein to survive but she would never eat Stanley! She'd prefer small furry animals.....and Humans!

Okay. Lexx started out as a 4-episode 8 hour mini-series, this is now considered season one. it was produced in Canada with financial backing from Germany . Following the success of the mini-series it was decided that Lexx would become a T.V. series. Unfortuneately Eva Haberman had other commitments and couldn't do the show but she did agree to do the first few T.V. shows before passing the torch to Xenia Seeburg. Three seasons were then produced for a total of four but it became apparent during the last season that the show was loosing steam and ratings began to fall. From the production office "the show was at best a cult favorite but not very financially feasible". The show was not cancelled, it did not get cut off, it ended when the writers and characters intended it to end. I really liked this show, but even for me the last season was weak, and I was really getting sick of 790 / Kai thing. Most memorable quote, 790 to Zev : "I am just a robot head that wants to live in your pants"
