A bit disappointed that Halloween wasn't on the list... Nightmare and Friday are certainly scary films, but John Carpenter's The Thing is a Sci-Fi & Horror Classic. The scene when they are trying to revive the guy and his chest caves & the scene when they're testing the blood still makes me jump. Even when you know it's coming. ;D

The scene when they are trying to revive the guy and his chest caves & the scene when they're testing the blood still makes me jump. Even when you know it's coming. ;D Halloween movies were pretty back in the day of my youth ***loooooook behind you Jamie Lee Curtis *** The Thing stills scares the crap outta me ;D I jump everytime too ;D I luv the storyline & the acting wasn't hollywoodized (actors were awesome) which I luv about classic horror movies...I get more freaked out by horror movies that you have to use your imagination set out by the director more than most latest horror flicks Basically a good horror movie has to have my imagination running wild Alien 1 was ... Nightmare On Elm Street 1 still scares me , Excorcist (original) was freaky back in the day (the whole concept at the time), Friday the 13th where Jason is wearing the sack over his head & the 1st movie were all & still freaky...I'm a camping girl with a fright for noises so that's part of why Blair Witch Project 1 made me laugh cos' I was honestly freaked out by the whole concept of Not Knowing/Seeing it ;D ... My heart pounded when they were in the tent & hearing something outside it & all that cackling & then the camera effects of them running through the pitch black darkness --- I could go on forever here but I'll save it for later ;D
