« Reply #1 on: Sep 26th, 2003, 5:03pm By: TJ » SARAH MICHELLE GELLARThis LA pom-pom shaker, Prom Princess and Fiesta Queen was born in 1981 to Hank and Joyce Summers. Growing up, the young Slayer-to-be was said to be as close as blood sisters with Celia, her cousin. Unfortunately, Celia died, and Buffy decided to pledge her allegiance to her childhood hero, bladestress Dorothy Hamill. In 1996, the Buffster met Merrick, a peculiar man who informed her that she was the latest in a line of chosen ones: Vampire Slayers. Merrick was a Watcher, a keeper if you will, of the chosen Slayer. Whoever could have imagined that a high-maintenance mall rat could eventually move on to save the world on several occasions? Well, no one at her City of Angels high school could, partly because in her first major victory against the bloodsuckers, she torched the gym. Thank goodness our hero somehow managed to avoid juvy or any kind of lengthy court case.
Unfortunately for Buff, her parents decided to divorce after this nasty chain of events. An entirely new chapter opened in the Slayer's life when her mom decided to make a move to beautiful Sunnydale, California. Buffy's slaying days had just begun in 1997 when she found out from her new Watcher, Giles, that Sunnydale was actually located atop a Hellmouth, a portal to an evil dimension replete with Vampires, demons and other ultra-nasty types. Too bad she couldn't leave her duties as the Chosen One behind; she might have avoided the stress of being killed and resurrected.
On top of the whole dying thing, Buffy has had quite a traumatic six years: she's lost her soul mate Angel, as well as her mother, discovered that her sister Dawn wasn't actually her sister, dealt with the strain of paying the bills on minimum wage, and become involved and broken up with her former archenemy, Spike. More recently, she watched her best friend Willow nearly destroy the world, but with help from Dawn, Buffy and the rest of the gang managed to come out on top.
With strength, intelligence and fortitude, Buffy will continue to slay any Big Bad that comes her way. Her friends and family will be fighting alongside her to keep Sunnydale and the rest of the world safe, and we hope she'll be lucky enough to avoid another trip to the cemetery. In a coffin, that is. THE CAST Has Created A Television Icon With Her Portrayal Of Buffy Summers. After Rising From The Dead, Buffy Has Had To Assume New Adult Responsibilities Along With Saving The World. The Slayer Is Also A Single, Working Woman Trying To Raise Her Sister. She Will Be Facing New Challenges & Threats, Including A Romantically Rebuffed Spike, Which Promise The Battle Against Evil Is Far From Over.
Portrays Willow Rosenberg, Buffy's Best Friend & Confidant. Once A High-School Computer Geek, She Has Blossomed Into A Beautiful & Loving Woman Whose World Was Nearly Destroyed By The Death Of Her Soul Mate, Tara. Last Summer, Hannigan Starred In Universal's Box Office Hit, "American Pie 2." In The Sequel, She Reprised Her Role As Michelle, The Flute-Playing Band Camper, Alongside Jason Biggs, Chris Klein and Mena Suvari.
Born In Washington, D.C. , Hannigan Moved To Atlanta At Age 2. She Began Her Career In Atlanta Doing Commercials, Working Steadily In National Spots For Companies Like McDonaldÕ³, Six Flags Amusement Parks and Oreo Cookies. At Age 11, She Moved To Los Angeles To Pursue Acting Roles In Television & Film. Her Breakthrough Role Came At The Age Of 13, When She Was Cast As Dan Aykroyd's Misunderstood Daughter In The Feature Film "My Stepmother Is An Alien". She Went On To Guest Star On A Number Of Popular Television Shows Including; Picket Fences, Roseanne & Touched By An Angel. She Was A Recurring Character On The Series, 'Almost Home' & A Series Regular On 'Free Spirit'. Hannigan Resides In LA With Her 3 Dogs & 2 Cats.

« Reply #3 on: Sep 27th, 2003, 2:00pm By: MAC »THX a lot TJ, for this thread!
I'm a BtVS-fan since day one! It was quite a revelation to me, 7 years ago or so. I mean : a beautiful, young girl, not the most intelligent one, kicking ass... Never missed a part of it, and taped season 1 till 6. (But I have to be honest : season 1, 2, 3 and 4 were great, 5 and 6 a bit less. I'm afraid that season 7 (only saw part 1-3 until now) is not that fantastic too.) My favourite characters are : Buffy : ('I may be dead, but I'm still pretty. Which is more than I can say for you') Angel when turned into a bad vamp again : ( to Spike : 'What can I say? I was going through a phase.)Spike when he was still bad : ('You got dog racing, Manchester United, and you got people. Billions of people walking around like Happy Meals with legs') Drusilla : ('I met an old men. I didn't like him. He got stuck in my teeth') Giles : (for my own personal reasons)
I really hope that the quality of season 7 will improve so this can end in beauty..
