oh sore subject..............I would rather go to the hospital and have an operation then go to the dentist I have two teeth that need root canal but they don't hurt - they are filled with a temp filling if I get tooth ache - then I will get them pulled....until then no pain no go.......
they are scary places to go shudder thinking about what to put......ouch

I have a major fear of the dentist & it shouldn't be so bad cos my dentist is someone I've partied with over the years BUT I have had soooo many absess teeth ever since I started having my kids. I have had 2 root canals done so far and do need 2 more But I've been putting them off immensely! I had a mouth-piece made almost 2 yrs ago now and never went back to have it fitted. The mouth-piece is for at night cos I grind my teeth from stress. I also have had numerous wisdom teeth pulled and etc etc etc....I found the worst pain in the world aside from being in labour pains IS ABSESSED TEETH ...

I need to go back to the dentist soon though cos this one I've been putting off is really acting up lately! Grit my teeth and bare it !

READ THIS HORROR STORY:

As a child I was never afraid of the dentist. He was a nice guy and after the treatment I was permitted to choose a little toy out of a basket.

But one day everything went wrong :
I had a terrible tooth-ache and he had to pull out that tooth. Something went wrong with the local anastethic and it was : AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Afterwards he was stupid enough to tell me that I had an abcess so it was normal that the anastethic wasn't doing its work. (I heard recently that that dentist commited suicide, I guess he felt a bit guilty ;D)

Just before I was getting married my wisdom-teeth began to ache severely. I went to (another) dentist but he couldn't help me. Had to go to a surgeon who told me that I needed an operation. So I got that operation 14 days before my wedding.. My cheeks and chin got black and blue and I looked like a hamster inthe following days. On my wedding day I had to use a lot of make up to cover it up.

I've Had My Teeth Fixed With An Absess Infection Also But I Luckily Didn't Have The Pain Like You Did! Poor Thing - That Must've Been A Terrible Experience Sorry To Hear That. I Know Now That You Can Laugh At This But OMG That Sucks!

Anyhow, The Week B4 My Wedding I Went To The Exhibition Here And Went On Some VERY VERY Scarey Rides & We Had Below 0 Temperature That Night & I Was Wearing Shorts & A TankTop That Day! That Summer Was Weird Cos' Then The Week Of Our Wedding - It Shot Up Above The 30's Which Was VERY BAD! Anyhow, From Screaming I LOST MY VOICE ALL TOGETHER & In Our Wedding Video You Can See Me Struggling With It

wow, i had a tooth pulled out and it cracked and took 1/2 an hour longer to do the 'simple' procedure!
