Let us hope that this event will be the end of a long war. That the Iraqi people will face a better, promising future in peace. And that all soldiers can come home again.

Democracy doesn't exist!
Prime ministers are basically dictators, they can do what they want cause their party has the power in the government, nobody would vote against him on a big issue!

Today is the 60th aniversary of the Normandy Invasion (D-Day) where over 110,000, British, Canadian, Polish, French and Americans poured onto 5 different beaches (Omaha, Utah, Gold, Sword and Juno) over 6 million mines were placed on the normandy coast and the Allies took around 10,000 casulties.
A very important part in history which should never be forgotten.

I watched a part of the ceremony on tv and it was pretty impressive. And moving to see those veterans. It's amazing that not more soldiers died on those beaches. A few years ago I visited a part of the Atlantik Wall. Unbelievable construction.

Im suprised that any of that wall is left, but jesus christ it was a brilliant defencive set up I tell you that, If Rommel was there when it happened the Allies would have been wiped out.
