I just love comic books, esp humoristic comics, fantasy, thrillers, etc. I buy a lot of stuff myself or get them in the library (our library has got a fantastic comic-collection, which is no surprise 'cause I made the selection myself ;D).
Anyway, here are some of my favourites : Garfield, I guess I don't have to introduce that cat.
Largo Winch, maybe someone knows that from the tv-serial (which sucks IMHO) but the original comic is great. It's a mix of adventure and thriller and the main character is Largo, who inheritated a big company, is very goodlooking and who gets mixed up in all kind of adventures.
Another favorite is XIII (Thirteen), this is more a mix of espionage and thriller, about an agent who suffers from amnesia and is chased by all kind of bad guys.
'The prince of the night' is a more classic vampire-comic by the very talented Yves Swolfs. 'The vultures' is also about vampires (a brother and sister), but is slightly erotic and in very vivid colours.
'The scorpion' is another goodlooking hero. The story is set in the late Middle-ages and the main character is in war with the Vatican.
One of the most beautiful comics I've ever read is 'Blacksad' (only two parts so far). Blacksad is a very down cat-detective. The drawings are real pieces of art.
I also like absurd, humoristic comics with anti-heroes as main characters. The most funny one I know is 'Joop Klepzeiker' (I can only translate that as 'Jeff Peakpisser' or something). It's a ghastly-looking, depressed, underachieving and tragic figure with a repulsive dog called Harry. The only thing Joop wants is love, but ofcourse every woman is digusted by him, so he always ends up in bars for comfort.
If you should ever visit Brussels ; go to the comic-museum there (Belgian Centre of the Comic Book), it's an awesome museum, with a library and it is in one of the most beautiful buidlings of Belgium (an 'art nouveau' design from the famous architect Victor Horta).

OK, I read mostly Marvel Comics. I've been a Spider-Man fan for as long as I can remember. I loved the cartoon as a kid. ;D
The Comics I regularly get:
The Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Knights: Spider-Man Spider-Girl (This is the best book on the market.) eXiles (I get this in TPB form rather than the monthly book.) Wonder Woman Army of Darkness Black Panther The New Avengers Runaways
I used to get the Transformers and the Masters of the Universe comics when they were in production.
Lately I've also gotten:
Toxin #1 Spider-Man: Breakout #1 Spider-Man/Human Torch #1-#4
I also got the 4 Issue (I think) Ghostbusters comic. it was very good. I also got the Snake Plissken comic series.
Yes. I'm a freak...
