But, have you actually seen how long it takes our damn country to carry out a sentence??? I'm actually agreeing with Corkman here, they kill, they get killed and no pussy footing about either. |

Agree totaly you take a life we take yours as for perverts chop their(blunt ) balls off they will never have the urdge again...justice done big time.......stuff all these civil libertys yes there's wrong in the world like amnisty international who do a great job.but sorry they won't change that much as not enough people hear them.........shame but thats life.........

yep or youthanasia........just want to see what peoples views are on the subject........or should we have the right to request to die same as a doner card that you sign years in advance that if you get beyound help and no chance of getting better should you be able to end your life.........?

This is my opinion...I think that people who have been sick for a long period of time and granted that they are in their right mind, yes they should have the choice, however, it's still committing suicide  . Whether someone ends their life legally or illegally - it = suicide. :- /. I completely disagree with having someone else decide your faith. A parent who has someone with mental disabilities should not have the right to decide to end their child's life...  Jaz |

I think it would be more of a crime to leave somebody who has no chance of living and they want to get it over with, alive and in agony, if they are sick enough they should be able to take their own life.

There was a situation in SK that bewildered many people...  A father, who had been taking care of his disabled (physically and mentally) daughter, one day decided her faith - so he put her in his car in the garage and slowly let her suffocate to death by car emissions - what was better: 1- Letting her die slowly by carbon monoxide or ; 2- Letting her die at the pace that God wanted her too? When reading the newspapers, he had mentionned that HE could not take it anymore, the 24 hour care service, the bills, the scheduled life, etc... Keep in mind that in Canada, we have centers that can take care of our disabled children and family members, and specially, if they are not of sound mind to make such a decision...what do u think should have happened? I am curious to find out how other people think...he was found guilty of 1st degree murder btw....should he have been? |

hmmmmm toughy I don't think he should have been convicted of 1st degree murder but maybe something a little less harsher, but hmmm it is a tough one. |

Corkman I mailed a bud of mine and asked about Gough Whitlam he sent some quotes and some web sites with biographical stuff on him, here is a piece from one of them detailing some writing he himself had done, On 11 November the Governor-General, Sir John Kerr, dismissed the Whitlam Government. Whitlam's account of these controversial events is given in The Truth of the Matter (1979, second edition 1983) and in Abiding Interests (1997). In 1985, on the tenth anniversary of the coup, he published The Whitlam Government 1972-1975, in which he traced the development as well as the implementation of his policies. Cool thanks very much . He did so much for our country and then he got booted out because of the CIA , something to do with the testing of nukes on the aboriginals at Pine Gap army base which Gough was going to tell the public about. Brought in the health care thing. It really pisses me off how whenever Australia had a good PM they got kicked out or somehow went 'missing'  Thanks again Zinkx |

According to my bud and now what I read it seems to me Whitlam was for the little guy, he did alot for the women in your country also!!! ;D

Yeah Whitlam was a great PM he also stopped all that racial crap that was still going around Australia, and yes did alot for the women, and the working class. One huge thing was Medicare which they liberals recently tried to get rid of and now they are saying they are strengthening it . But Gough was in the paper the other day talking to the lead singer of Midnight oil who is going to join the Labour party , they aren't Left but they are better then Howard. |

lol sorry guys Left Wing: No Capitalism, social equity, no privatisation. (Communism, Socialism) Right Wing:Capitalism, Profit for the owner, Business can basically buy their way out of stuff. (Conservatives, Fascism (yep thats right wing), pretty much every government thats in power is right wing ) I will go make a poll of just different parties so it is easier. But Zinkx Republicians can be either Left or Right so thats a toughy lol |
