Totally agree Blue Thunderbird. Why they could not have waited until spring after the second Gommery report is beyond me. Personally I hope this whole thing blows up in Harper's face and Martin gets a majority government.

Harper's views on the gay issue will be his undoing as people are not stupid enough to believe that he can change the law without using the notwithstanding clause.

As for Layton's experience in municipal politics how does that translate into being a viable federal leader.

The debates in my opinion are a farce, why is a leader of a provincially run party allowed to participate in a national debate is beyond me. The Bloc don't even have any representatives outside Quebec. The irony of all of this is that they are a party that wants to seperate from Canada but want to participate in its politics. I resent the rest of Canada being held hostage by one province. If Quebec wants to seperate let them but let's not make it easy for them. No you can't use our currency, yes you will need a passport to travel in Canada and no we will not give you a compensation package and by the way get your own health care. Pardon my sarcasm but being a french canadian I find it an embarrassment to my heritage that a bunch of fanatics are trying to break up my country. Not all french speaking canadians are seperatist and some of us want to have a say in it even if we don't live in Quebec. Even though the Bloc claim that they do not have seperation on their mind in the end that is their goal.

Sorry for the last rant but it is a contentious subject for me. Anyway go and vote and let's bring in a majority this time.

What a JOKE the debate was yesterday Everytime Stephen Harper was asked to tell us Canadian Citizen's as to where he's gonna get the money to pay for all these bonus luxuries he's planning to give us....HE NEVER ONCE ANSWERED! Piss off, dimwit ;D

He continued along with the IDIOT (Gille Duceppe - Bloc Quebecois) from Quebec whom stated clearly that Quebec is DIFFEREN'T than ALL Canadians WTF is this arse sending to all of us that we didn't already loathe about Quebec? Unbelievable seeing as Jack Layton (NDP) & our Prime Minister (Liberal - Paul Martin) were born & raised in Quebec.... Give me a break!!! Jack Layton is correct on stating that if it wasn't for his party (MP's) in Parliament pushing the Liberals on childcare, elderly issues it wouldn't have been passed!

For them to try & slam Martin for Aboriginal issues, LMFAO he wasn't even in office one week & his first journey was to MY Province of Saskatchewan & straight from the plane to Piapot First Nation Reservation....Ppl were pissed off cos' he didn't visit the inner cities, etc....That from day one has told me that FINALLY We have a Prime Minister that is wanting to make a difference with the low income of Canada & poverty stricken individuals/communities....RESPECT is what this man has & I give it straight back His government (Liberals) is a party that has set forth FINALLY a recognition of wrong doing's in the govt. from my mother's era....The destruction from the Churches (Priests/Nuns) and the Governments of Canada towards the Aboriginal (American Indians for ppl that don't understand).....Hats off to this party....IF THE Conservatives take over...OMG they will take away the millions of dollars from making the wrongs right :- ( for my ancestors, my mother, my family, ME.....Yes money will never take away the pain, memories, loss of culture from those HORRIBLE Residential Schools but it is a start to a new beginning! I don't mind NDP for our Province as our Premier is from the New Democratic Party (Lorne Calvert) but I've also always voted Ralph Goodale (Liberal) in my Wascana riding .... I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFETIME VOTE for a party that has changed it's name 3 times & is racist, bigots with the only plan to benefit the wealthy ppl of Canada....Piss right off!!! ;D

Btw, the scandals being thrown in our faces by TV ads lately is so unfair & what a typical ambush from the other parties against the Liberal party. Also, I'd like to stay at an 8 straight year balanced budget, tyvm not vote in a party that is going to ruin all of that AGAIN like the Tories or worse Brian Mulroney ......Coming to mind of TV ads lol....Watching Jack Layton on the debate was like watching an info-commercial was kinda cool how calm this man presents himself & in my opinion he got me thinking on a few topics. OMG I could not believe my ears when that arse of a Duceppe said that Quebec was a nation. Anybody that thinks this guy is a smart man needs their head read. To think that the rest of Canada thinks he represents my heritage is beyond scary. Believe me when I tell you Canada that not All French Canadians are seperatist. A lot of us happen to love Canada and have no desire to become a seperate country. What ever happened to putting people in jail for treason. How could the other leaders stand there and not unilaterally attack that jackass. Plus, Michele had to finally leave that Province after a few years of her son being bullied & beaten up for not being raised in Quebec since birth. These are young children keep in mind. NICE huh, what they're teaching there children. Michele was horrified that she wasn't respected when heard speaking English. She finally moved back to Regina with much shame for the seperatists in Quebec....
